This research has aim to repair tissue (epithelial dressings for the skin) or to compensate for the failing organs (eg. Beta cells of the pancreas for diabetes), or, conversely, to destroy tumors (anti-tumor immunotherapy using encapsulated cells).
We need your support to create more synergy between Swiss hospitals so that patients have access to innovative therapies such as cellular therapies despite the medical and economic challenge.
The number of target diseases by cellular therapy is important: Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, paraplegia (dystrophy), cancer, blindness, heart attack, epithelial dressings for burn victims.
Cell therapy represents a huge hope to many patients that can be treated and cured, thanks to Research carried out in this area.
